Sheltering Hands -Paint Party Friday

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say to the Lord,
"My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust."
~Psalm 91:1, 2

His Shadow overshadows Life's Shadows.
Take heart, be strong,
There is great Hope
In the midst of life's gathering storms

I am re-posting this drawing, because I am still ill and don't feel like doing much.  I've been sick for about two months now...   So, I finally went to see the doctor for the third time and she says I have pneumonia.  With antibiotics, I hope to feel better in a few days.  Which will be good, because I am speaking at a Women's Retreat this coming weekend!  Of all things, our subject is "Journey to Joy."

You are such a blessing to my heart when you come by.  Happy Paint Party Friday! ((hugs))

Brave Rescuer -Guest Heart Thursday

I had so much fun with this doodle.  As you can see, this handsome swordsman is rescuing the beautiful princess from the clutches of a VERY upset dragon.  As I don't like sad endings, I am of a mind the dragon gets stuck in the trees and the two escape unscathed!

Of course, I have hidden hearts throughout the drawing--how many can you find?  Have a great day and Happy Guest Heart Thursday!

Storyteller -Weekly Word Sketches

I chose the word "dreaming" from this week's list.  My drawing is an old lineart sketch from way back.  This young fellow has always been a dreamer--here he is in the midst of his dreaming, holding all of his listeners enthralled.

If you would like to join us, you can click on the picture below to visit Oak Moon Studios for the details.

Hope Bringer -Guest Heart Thursday

"The Angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him and rescues them."  Psalm 34:7  "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Psalm 37:18  I think sometimes we are unaware of the angels who are sent to bring hope to those who's hearts are broken.

This is a doodle I did a week or so ago--of course there are hearts hidden in the picture.  Have a lovely week's end, everyone!

Watching Over You

This is one of my very first cloud paintings.  I have often sent this painting out as a gift to those who support Dramatic Difference Ministries.

The picture above is the original photo of a local pilot and airplane, taken near our town's Independence State Airport.   One of the folks to whom I sent this Cloud Painting had it sitting on their piano.  Tiny 3-year old Emma noticed a protective hand in the picture I hadn't seen before.  I took a closer look.  Indeed, there was an angel there, protecting the airplane from harm.

So I enhanced the picture to reflect the guardian angel seen in the original.  This newly vamped piece of Sky Art is entitled, Watching Over You and hangs in the Starduster Cafe at the airport in Independence, Oregon.  Limited edition, signed prints are for sale!  If you're interested, contact me via email.

Guardian

These two are guarded by a giant lizard who, by the look in his eye, has great affection for these two girls. It seems he may have decided to become their protector. You would not want to tangle with such a guardian, if he took a dislike to you. (grin)
