I will See Him Again

Four years ago today, my Beloved flew home to heaven.  It was unexpected.  I still can't believe he's gone sometimes.  Today my Alan is with the Lord and I am grateful he is there--I smile through my tears.  He is in a better place and some day I will see him again.

Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope.  For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.

For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.  After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.  Therefore encourage one another with these words.
 ~ 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

My husband could read Greek fluently.  He was a teacher and often taught that in the original language the words "caught up together with them" has the idea of being caught up next to those we know and love...  I treasure that hope with all my heart.

Fairy House and a Nest -Paint Party Friday

This is a sketch inspired by a wonderful book of Japanese Artwork.  I love the balance and symmetry represented...it is inspiring to me.  If I were as small as a fairy might be--I would love to live in this little house.

Have a lovely week, dear friends.  Thank you so much for dropping by.  This will be a difficult week for me and my family.  Tuesday is the fourth anniversary of my husband's Heavenly Home-going.  I would appreciate your prayers.

Happy Iris Dancer -Paint Party Friday

This is a recent ink drawing.  To see my original graphite sketch, here's the link: Happy Iris Dancer.  If you look closely you'll see a fairy house in the reeds of this beautiful garden and swamp.  There's a certain joy in her stance--I have felt that dancing hope in my heart...

Though it is nearing the anniversary of my Beloved's home-going--I know he would be happy for me.  I am not alone.  The God who made the universe holds my hand.

Above you see my reference photo.  This talented photographer's name is Jessica Truscott.  You can find her wonderful stock pictures at FaeStock on DA.

Have a glorious weekend.  May God fill your heart with light and joy even though difficult circumstances surround you.  Thank you for your visit.  Your comments are such an encouragement to my heart!  ((HUGS))

Kitty Butterfly -Paint Party Friday

This is one of my little cartoon characters--quite different than my normal work.  I have drawn these since I was a child--it is the whimsical popping out.  LOL

I am convinced cats hide wings under their fur--and they use them when we are not looking.  I'm not the only one who believes this--there's a children's book series out called CatWings, by Ursula K. LeGuin.

I don't have much time to burn this week.  So I'm posting a drawing from spring, 2017.  I was trying out some new coloring pens--I LOVED them.  So bright and pretty.

Have a wonderful weekend, dear ones.  May God fill your heart with light and joy.  Thank you for dropping by.  The comments you write are so encouraging to me!   They keep me going!  ((HUGS))

Sweet Madrona -Paint Party Friday

I am friends with a very small girl who's imagination reminds me of my own when I was her age.  Madrona is such a wonderful little person.  Her stories are magnificent and her laughter is contagious.  I am the most blessed Auntie in the world.  I have wonderful nieces.

The wind is blowing yellow leaves past my window.  It is a beautiful Fall day.  Have a wonderful weekend, dear ones.  Thank you for your visit--your comments truly bring joy to my heart.  Happy paint Party Friday!
