Windy Moon Flower -Paint Party Friday

I love the wind.  There's something mysterious and wonderful about it.  Sometimes it tiptoes down the alley, or wiffles great waves across the golden fields.  It can be as gentle as a kiss, or as rowdy as a tornado.  Here you can see its magic.

Happy Paint Party Friday, sweet Friends.  I hope you are doing alright during this pandemic.  Mumsie is back home now and I am feeling pretty lonesome.

The Magician -Paint Party Friday

I apologize for being so late with my post.  It has been a VERY busy week.

Here the magician begins his magic. Though all is illusion, we wonder, "could this be real?"  Part of the genius of this boy, is his wonderful imagination. He lives in a world where anything is possible.  Like his Daddy, he is a storyteller.

Have a lovely week, dear Friends.  Though the sadness still crashes into my heart like the waves of the sea, there are so many things for which to be thankful.  It is good to be alive.  I'm SO grateful for my Family and dear friends--you know who you are.  You are loved.

Have a wonderful week and Happy Paint Party Friday!

Baby in Blue Rose

My husband and I spent five fine days at the Oregon Coast in a cabin owned by a friend of ours.  It was sunny and gorgeous.  Such a romantic time!  I also spent some time painting this darling baby boy in a blue rose--it is a commission for a friend of ours.

I thought I would share him with you, he turned out so cute

Above you see the original photo. What a sweet boy!

Have a lovely week, everyone!

Magic, the Horse -Guest Heart Thursday

Magic the Horse rode away to heaven last Spring.  I met him years ago--he was beloved best friend of my "adopted" daughter.  What a wonderful friend he was to her.  I had been working on the painting off and on since April. I finally finished this portrait of Magic today.  It is quite large, 22x28 inches!  I'm happy to say, my daughter loved the painting and he's on his way home with my girl.

Of course, there is a heart to be found.  In the original picture, I discovered a heart freckle near his nose--so in this painting, he sports the same heart-shaped spot.

Have a lovely rest of the week!

Making Mermaids

This is a little pencil doodle I was inspired to draw last week.  I thought you'd enjoy the idea of Making Mermaids.  My love for fairy tales is once more evidenced in this drawing.

I apologize for being a bit out of touch this summer.  It has been a difficult three months.  It looks like there is a light at the end of the tunnel now.  I hope to be around a bit more in the days ahead.

May life's best blessings be yours.  Have a great evening!

Moonlight surprise

I created this graphite drawing when I was around 19 years old. As you can see I've always had a great imagination. So--what do you think the story is here? There's a subtle undefined feeling about this drawing which I cannot put into words.
.
I'd love to hear what feelings, thoughts and stories this picture brings to your mind.
