Snuggle Bug

Monday, while my husband was having a biopsy done I sketched this little darling from an advertisement I found in the waiting room.  I find when I am uneasy or a little worried I doodle--somehow it makes whatever is happening a little easier to bear.

Thank you to those who have been praying for my Sweetheart.  We will hear what the results are on  Friday.  God bless you and have a perfectly lovely day!

Baby Angel in the clouds

Isn't this just the most darling little fellow? He looks like a cartoon of himself.

Below you can view this angel baby as I first saw him. If you click on the picture for the details, you can see I didn't have to enhance much! I was truly astonished at the detail of the cloud as I first found it.

Daddy Update: Dad's head wound is nearly healed. The bad news is the neurosurgeon looked at his neck bones and not much has changed. The good news is they were able to fit Dad with a different collar. This will help with the flashbacks of the Nazi prison guard choking him, and with further medication and help from an expert in soldiers who have flashbacks, I believe Dad will be doing much better soon.
.
Please continue to pray for the joining and healing of those bones in Dad's neck. The surgery required to fix it if it doesn't, is extremely risky. It is frightening to think about that. Also please pray the flashbacks will cease. Mumsie says they're getting worse and lasting longer. Thank you dear prayer warriors.

Cloud Cherub

This is one of my first attempts at cloud painting. I was just discovering how to use my "brush" which, in reality was the "mouse." The cloud picture below is of the cherub as I first saw him. The photo was taken over the gentle swell of Oregon's coastal mountains.

Daddy Update: Dad is doing very well. We hope to have the home place ready in a few weeks, so our parents will be comfortably set for the cold autumn and winter months. Please continue to pray for Dad's healing and that we will be able to finish all the work which must be done in order for them to go home. Dad would feel much better with his own things around him.

Baby Smiles

Little person in the skies,
Who are you?
I often see you smiling there,
Sometimes when I'm blue.
It makes my heart a little lighter,
In all that I must do.
Knowing you are happy,
Leaves a precious clue.

I often see this little one's face in the clouds. He always seems to be smiling. Makes my heart shine on days I feel sad. Below is the original cloud.

Cloud Cherub

This is one of my favorite Cloud Paintings. Twenty-two years ago our little one flew away to heaven. Though the years have softened the pain of losing our tiny Sterling Dow before he had the chance to live, I still think about him.
.
This darling cherub is exactly how I have pictured our boy over the years. His little face is filled with love, joy and mischief.
.
I am looking forward to looking into his dear face, and hugging him when I get to heaven.

Above you see my precious boy, as I first found him in the clouds.
