This shaggy little fellow is one of my first Cloud Paintings. He has such a winsome personality. My camera caught him mid-bounce! I love the way he seems to want to play and the laughing adoration in his eyes. What a dear little cloud pal!
My paintbrush was a computer mouse--a rather awkward brush to be sure! It took me a couple of days to finish painting him. Today, with my wireless paintbrush, what once would have once taken days, I can accomplish in half that time! What a blessing!
I just came back from picking up three more baby squirrels. And because of you, for the first time, I looked up in the sky and saw a cloud-angel! Believe it or not, she had a heart for a head! (Must have been from Clytie!) Beautiful outstretched arms, long white dress. I did have my camera but she was moving so quickly and was so obscured by wires, I couldn't get a good picture. But your cloud pictures have taught me to see in a new way. Thanks!
PS I just came across your request to borrow the Swampy Cree Poem. . .don't know why I missed it before. Of course you can! It's in a book called The Wishing Bone Cycle that was taken down/translated by Howard Norman.
Beth YOU have such a creative eye. Love the little face you did on the clouds. THANK YOU SOOO MUCH FOR ALWAYS VISITING MY BLOGS. The group picture you mentioned about which one was me, actually none of them are. But the younger woman in the goldish skirt is my sister. It is a group shot taken at my Dad's nursing home when he was there in the late 80's, he is the man in the wheel chair holding my niece. Guess I should have mentioned that on the posting. Soooooooo how have you been ? Like always I hope terrific. Love your art work and the dear friend you are to me ! happiness 2 U
Oooh so cute, you are so good!! I can hardly wait until the 10th to see what you come up with. It has been raining here most of the week too. Yesterday the giant double power pole by my house was struck by lighting. 5:30 a.m. Bright light - explosion and the poles lit up just like a glow sticks. It was cool I was up everyone else missed it.
A midget who told me, when I was depressed about people making fun of me because we had no money and no new clothes and I was wearing everything second handed. He told me, "You are the only one in the world, make the most of it."

FILLS MY EYES...
When I see something unexpected, unusual, or beautiful, my focus suddenly sharpens and intensifies. The sensation tickles! That's when I say something "fills my eyes." It is the greatest compliment I can give.
My Camera and Me
I carry my camera everywhere I go. Here you see one of my Cloud Paintings. I find unusual shapes, faces, animals in just about everything, especially clouds. Often I am able to enhance or "paint" my photos so others can see what my imagination has revealed.
What an honor to be a featured artist for this wonderful webpage!

This is a link to my favorite book reviewer. Rena Lanyon gives a well-written review from a youthful perspective.
When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I have not a single bit of talent left, and could say, "I used everything you gave me Lord." -- Darlene Pringle, Artist

Now I know it is possible to receive Hugs from a cloud!
