A is for Alphabet -Paint Party Friday

I love lettering.  This is one of my creations from long ago.  I have drawn pages and pages of fanciful fonts over the years.  It is SO much fun to do!

I'm posting something from the past again, because of the business of my life right now. I am preparing for an extended trip and didn't have time to draw something new.  I hope you enjoy this font doodle from my sketch book.

Have a lovely weekend dear ones.  Thank you for dropping by.  Your comments always encourage my heart.  I am so grateful for the encouraging things you write!  Grace and peace be to you, sweet Friends!

Admiring Felines -Paint Party Friday

I am going to be SO busy this week, I decided to post a cartoon from the far past.  I drew this in the 1990s.  Looking at this drawing, I think those cats have a family resemblance to Garfield--one of my favorite cartoons. I hope you enjoy seeing this silly doodle from my sketch book.  I know it is rough, but it is fun, too.

Happy Paint Party Friday dear Friends!  Have a beautiful week.  Thank you for dropping by--your visits are always a great encouragement to my heart.

Sweet Smiles -Paint Party Friday

Here is a recent sketch from my sketchbook.  The mosaic window behind this dear girl actually has roses hidden in it.  When it is inked and color added, I think it will be more easily seen.  I love to hide things in my drawings.

Above you see my reference photo featuring my sweet Friends Rena and Heather.  By the way, I made the red cloak from some old velvet curtains which once hung in my in my office.  The green cloak was made from an old army blanket.  I believe these days, they call this "re-purposing!"

This time around, I'm including an old ACEO drawing from 2010.  It is called What's a Dragon to do?  As you can see, the poor fierce dragon is totally baffled by the loving attentions of that amorous little birdie.

Happy Paint Party Friday, all you wonderful artists and beautiful people. May God bless you, dear ones.  Have a lovely weekend and thank you for dropping by.

Porthole

Here is another of my early drawings. I was in my late teens when I created it. This is the story of a dying planet, from which the inhabitants escape through a porthole into another reality.
.
It has always been a favorite of my long-ago doodlings. There's something, some feeling I caught here, which I can't put into words. Perhaps you can.
