Mr. Perky Ears -Paint Party Friday

Anyone who has companioned with a Maine Coon knows what wonderful cats they can be.  They are usually clowns and don't stop growing in size until age three.

I know another of these wonderful cats will come into my life again.  I just know it!

Have a great weekend and Happy Paint Party Friday!  Blessings and hope to you!

To Love -Guest Heart Thursday

Here is another of my drawings on toned sketch paper.  Of course, there is a heart to be found in this drawing.

The title of this piece is to honor and thank those in my life, who's love, prayers and dear friendship have surrounded me all these years.  You know who you are.

Have a lovely weekend and Happy Guest Heart Thursday!

Whispers -Paint Party Friday

If you have been a follower of my art blog, you will likely recognize this lovely girl's face.  I've known Melissa since she was a tiny girl.  We have been pals for most of her life.  She and her family often model for me, so her face shows up a lot in my artwork.  She is not only beautiful, but her heart is dear, sweet and good.

My children gave me a sketchbook with toned paper last Christmas.  I have had so much fun with it!  To create the drawing above, I used white and black Prismacolor pencils.  It is a whole new way of thinking through a drawing!

Now a peek into my sketchbook.  Here is a pen and ink drawing of my darling little niece and her special little friends.  Of course, there may be a hidden critter or two, in the foliage!

Have a lovely day and Happy Paint Party Friday!

Demure -Guest Heart Thursday

This demure miss was actually drawn on grey-toned paper with black and white Prismacolor pencils.  The scanner turns the grey colored paper into a warm brownish feel.  I kind of like it!

This lovely young woman reminds me of a movie star from the 1970's.  I drew this from my head--so perhaps an old memory from the past flew through.  Of course, I have hidden hearts in this drawing.

Pouting Cutie -Guest Heart Thursday

I had such fun drawing this pouting little girl.  I have always had SUCH a hard time not laughing when the wee ones pout.  They're just SO cute.  She's not as pouty as I'd have liked, but you get the idea.

Have a lovely day and Happy Guest Heart Thursday!

Vintage Beauty -Guest Heart Thursday

My children gave me some Strathmore gray toned sketch paper with Prismacolor black and white pencils.  This is my first attempt drawing within this medium.  My inspiration was an old postcard I love.  Of course I've hidden hearts in this drawing.

Have a beautiful day and Happy Guest Heart Thursday.
