To Dance Again -Paint Party Friday

Even at my late age, one can dream about dancing again. Dreams are beautiful, and though I may not dance as I did when I was young, who's to say dancing in my "golden years" might be just as lovely.

The days are growing longer again, and I yearn for Spring.  Soon the flowers will bloom again.  I smelled Spring blowing in a southerly wind a few days ago, and I am nostalgic.

Blessings and joy to each of you who found time to drop by today.  Thank you, and Happy Paint Party Friday.

Of Dragonflies and Elves -Paint Party Friday

This is a drawing I recently found in one of my keepsake files.  It is an early illustration for a children's book.  I believe I was 19.  This girl looks SO much like my own daughters.  I did a double take when I found it!  Amazing, almost prophetic.  And you can definitely see how much I've improved in my artwork over these last 39 years!!!

Anyhow, Happy New Year, sweet Friends.  May God bless you with joy, wisdom, strength and comfort over this coming year.  Happy Paint Party Friday!

Captain's Dreams

Here is a colored pencil drawing I drew for a sea captain I know.  I did a graphite version nearly two years ago.  The Captain and his crew fish for crab off the Oregon Coast.  He and his dear lady are very precious to our hearts.  They are getting this piece for Christmas!  Shipping it off today.

Have a lovely week!
