Popping Bubbles -Paint Party Friday

It only took a moment to make the connection that any faery maiden worth her salt would use a pool cue to pop bubbles.

Above you see my reference photo.  Taking pictures of this lovely couple during their wedding and reception was SO much fun.  Above you see my lovely model Melissa!  I'm so honored and blessed to be her dear old auntie.

Happy Paint Party Friday, all you wonderful artists and beautiful people. May God bless you, dear ones, with His joy and peace.  Have a lovely weekend and thank you for dropping by.

Climbing Roses -Guest Heart Thursday

Here are two of the darling little faeries who frequent my garden.  They especially love to climb on the roses in the early morning.  The tall red rose bush by the wrought iron fence is their favorite!

Have a lovely day, everyone--may the sweetest of faeries visit you in your garden!

Funky Fish - Guest Heart Thursday

Here is another ATC watercolor of a funny Funky Fish.  There are at least two hearts in this picture--can you find them?

Butterfly Faery

Now and then I will be reposting some of my artwork. This piece of art is one of my favorites. The little faery is of the variety of butterfly faeryfolk who live in magical groves of bubble trees. I love bubbles. It would be so extraordinary to actually see the bubble tree groves of my imaginative dreams.
.
Indeed, one might wonder if a person could make a bubble tree crown? Are bubble tree leaves sticky? If one had enough bubble tree leaves, could one fly up into the clouds? I wonder what would happen should one happen to pop a bubble leaf? Would the bubble tree butterfly faeryfolk mind?
.
How long do bubble trees, er, bubble? Are there times when bubble trees lose their bubble leaves--and if so, do the bubble leaves float into the skies, or do they land on the ground in great foamy, sparkling bubble leaf heaps? My darling sister Clytie wrote, “More importantly, when it’s frozen, do the bubbles 'clink?'”
.
Ah, these and many other questions such as this, do cross my mind now and again. (grin)
