As summer draws near, the aroma of roses and honeysuckle fill the still warm air. Sunshine sparkles, as thin wisps of white curl across the blue sky.
This is my first summer without my sweet husband. I miss his blue eyes, the way they would glow with excitement as he related stories from his day. I miss his wisdom, tenderness and kindness and the touch of his lips on mine. This week has been very hard. The numbness which first shields the mind in times of emergency and extreme trauma, has worn away. Renewed grief, like an underground river, flows through each day. I know this will pass--it is the work of grief to weep and struggle on through--to stay whole, it is something I must do.
I am grateful that I am not alone when the tears come flooding into my eyes. The Good Shepherd--Him Who loves me, is here. He walks beside me, and holds me in His arms when I do not have strength to keep going. How grateful I am for the Lord. He is indeed well-acquainted with sorrow, but He is also the author of joy--He is the one who promised, "Joy comes in the morning..." For now I am safe in the arms of Him Who loves me. Happy

It only took a moment to make the connection that any faery maiden worth her salt would use a pool cue to pop bubbles.
Above you see my reference photo. Taking pictures of this lovely couple during their wedding and reception was SO much fun. Above you see my lovely model Melissa! I'm so honored and blessed to be her dear old auntie. Happy

I attended the wedding of Tony and Melissa last week. It was a beautiful wedding, one I will always remember. This is my wedding gift to them. It isn't finished yet, but when it is, I think it will be beautiful.

I am indeed blessed by friendship. I don't know what I would have done without the prayers, help and encouragement of my Friends during this time in my life. This lineart drawing is a celebration of Friends--Best Friends.
Above you see my wonderful reference picture. I adore these two
young ladies. They are my beautiful models, Rena and Heather. I treasure their friendship. This
lineart piece turned out better than I'd ever hoped. When I add color,
the girls will each get a print.

A midget who told me, when I was depressed about people making fun of me because we had no money and no new clothes and I was wearing everything second handed. He told me, "You are the only one in the world, make the most of it."

FILLS MY EYES...
When I see something unexpected, unusual, or beautiful, my focus suddenly sharpens and intensifies. The sensation tickles! That's when I say something "fills my eyes." It is the greatest compliment I can give.
My Camera and Me
I carry my camera everywhere I go. Here you see one of my Cloud Paintings. I find unusual shapes, faces, animals in just about everything, especially clouds. Often I am able to enhance or "paint" my photos so others can see what my imagination has revealed.
What an honor to be a featured artist for this wonderful webpage!
A Fairytale Mind
This is a link to my favorite book reviewer. Rena Lanyon gives a well-written review from a youthful perspective.
When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I have not a single bit of talent left, and could say, "I used everything you gave me Lord." -- Darlene Pringle, Artist
