Chickadees

This is one of my first attempts to draw birds in pen and ink. I love Chickadees. They are wonderful birds. When a storm hits, you won't find these little fellows hiding in safety. Nope -- they fiercely wing right into the teeth of the wind and seem to enjoy every moment of it. This winter they've flocked to my back yard to eat the seeds I put out.

My brother once told me if I were a bird I would be a Chickadee. I like that. They're plucky!

I'm not familiar with chickadees except as a term of endearment on TV. It's wonderful therefore to see them here in your drawing.

They suit you these little birds. It seems an apt nickname.

Beautiful drawing, sissie.

We have chickadees flocking to our bird feeder this year as well. They are so cute! and now I can think of you when I see them!

These are so sweet - you're perfectly captured their spirit! They are the most fearless, inquisitive, sweet little birds, aren't they?

Being a bird lover also, I cherish seeing both this "chickadee" drawing, and the snow snuggle.... Birds always make me smile and your drawings have done the same..... :) You really captured the sweetness and their toughness!
