Capricious Wind -Guest Heart Thursday

Here is another graphite drawing from my sketchbook. Of course I have hidden lots of interesting hearts throughout.  I often use my own photography as references for my artwork.  I am so blessed by the talented young women, who give their precious time to indulge an old lady who loves to draw.

Above is Heather, one of my lovely young friends.  She is a sweetheart of a girl--truly an angel, both in heart and appearance.

Fall Winds - Guest Heart Thursday

As January's mild temperatures and soaking rains douse the Pacific Northwest, I long for the crisp, bright days of Fall.   Sissy and I were walking in The Abandoned yesterday and to my astonishment, we found cherry trees in bloom!

Here is the Fall Wind blowing precious hearts through the brightening trees.

Springtime Winds - Guest Heart Thursday

I know winter has just begun, but the girl inside my heart longs for the breath of Springtime Winds.  Here in Oregon we have had, even for us web-footers, more than our share of rain so far.  In the event of a soggy winter without much hope for snow, I find myself already longing for spring with its fragrant flowers and green leaves.

Hence, I finished drawing this bit of Springtime just this morning.  With this bit of spring--my heart is happy again!  If you look closely you will find some hidden hearts--how many can YOU find?  Happy New Year everyone!
