Papa's Little Darling in Color! -Paint Party Friday

Hello, sweet Friends.  Here is the finished drawing for dear Papa.  This is his sweet little Great Granddaughter.  I scanned it into the computer, and there's a slight pink to the background I wasn't expecting.

You can see my original model and sketch here.

Today is a melancholy day.  I'm not sure why, but sadness tinges the hours.  I'm alone for the second day after having friends and family here for over three weeks.  I think I miss all the wonderful activity and sounds.  I will feel better soon--with the sun shining so beautifully, it will be hard to stay melancholy.

Happy Paint Party Friday, sweet Friends--thank you SO much for dropping by.  Your comments are so encouraging to my heart.

Your painting turned out wonderful. I enjoyed seeing the link to the post with your sketches. The colours are so vibrant. Well done. You made it to my blog before my pictures were posted, sorry about that. Glad you enjoyed my composting post while you were there. - Margy

I hope you are now feeling much better Beth, I know that feeling when we have spent quality time with family and friends and then we suddenly have no one around to share our day with but it is nice when we have time to create without having to tend to the needs of others as well.
Always love your line work, I really need to start saving mine so I can use my sketches again. Beautiful.. Happy PPF.. I have not found time to play for a while but wanted to pop on over to catch up with your art & just say Hi.. Take good care now Creative Hugs Tracey xx

As always lovely art. Yes, the house feels empty when guests leave. The memory of laughter rings through. Happiness to you my friend.

although it's not pleasant for you to have the feelings let down, it's so understandable. I can relate, feeling the same way when my niece and nephew leave. It's so quiet. Love the whole concept of your sweet painting. LeeAnna at not afraid of color

She looks so sweet and so special. Also love the mushrooms and her wings. Sometimes sadness can be unavoidable, but try not to linger in it. Try to go for a walk or create. Both have healing powers.
