Peachy Keen -Paint Party Friday

I've posted this little fairy before, but I thought she especially fit a summery color palette of raspberry, peach and a splash of lemon.  It must be so gleeful to be a fairy child--can you imagine what fun it would be rolling an orange hither and thither? 

I am delighted to post this peachy little fairy as a part of Paint Party Friday.  Next week I'll paint something completely new and different to share.  Have a lovely day, everyone!

Peachy Keen

Today I painted this little water color in honor of the Harvest.  There are groves of peaches near here which are are just coming into season.  How lovely to drive past and see that beautiful, bright fruit hanging so lusciously in the trees.  Makes my mouth water, just thinking of it.

The title Peachy Keen was inspired by my darling husband, who often uses the term.

Forbidden Fruit - Sunday Scans

This is another ACEO card--these Artist Trading Cards are only 3.5x2.5 inches.  I especially love this one--the look on Eve's face is priceless.  I sketched the original piece in graphite, then used pen and ink for the outline.  I added color with my beloved Prismacolor pencils.

The above is the original 8x11 pen and ink drawing on Bristol paper, drawn a year earlier.

My lovely Model, Paige, is also a wonderful digital artist in her own right.  You will often see her winsome face in my artwork.  Paige's fabulous stock photos can be found at Dove-Stock.  I count it a great privilege to know this talented young woman.  She is going to go far.
