One of the ways I handle sleeplessness is to draw in the late hours of night, or the wee hours of the morning. This is one such piece. I haven't slept well in a long time, but I don't mind as much when I end up drawing something like this.
Above you see my lovely model, Rena. The girls came over for a photoshoot a couple of weeks ago. It was SO much fun! They are wonderful friends, and I am privileged to work with them.
Thank you so much for dropping by--your visits mean a lot to me. Blessings, comfort and joy to all of you, dear Friends. Happy Paint Party Friday!

Beautiful piece! So sorry you are not sleeping well, I do envy those that lay down and are instantly asleep.
How spectacular and deeply beautiful..your art is enchanting and so gorgeous! I also love the portrait model..fabulous photo, ethereal and elegant!

Happy Spring

Beth, your mountain dancer illustration is so pretty (and so is Rena). I haven't slept well in a very long time either. Some nights I can't get to sleep till 3 or 4 a.m. Other times I sleep but wake up around 4. Those times I get up and eat breakfast, sit up for an hour and then go back to bed and sleep till 9 or 10. That's one advantage of being retired (and old).
Your illustration is absolutely wonderful, she is so pretty! I have problems sleeping, too. Hope you have some good nights. Hugs, Valerie
Beautiful dander and your illustration is wonderful.
Happy Sunday and great upcoming week 💗
This is fantastic! Alfons Mucha's style is one that cought my eye early when I was a kid, and definitely influenced how I do art today.
Beautiful and delicate drawing. I don't sleep well either due to my illness, so I often draw late at night.
very precise drawing hope you are able to sleep better soon. I have turmeric mixed with warm milk and that helped me
Great way to deal with insomnia. And what wonderful art as a result. Happy you dropped by my blog Beth
much love...
Very nice piece. And, to have friends to pose for future art work! That's special.
Beth I am always amazed at the detail you put into your beautiful art. You have such a creative mind and the talent to go with it.
You are so gifted ~ beautiful drawings ~

That is so glorious! Such friends you have.
What good use of time when not sleeping. Your drawing is excellent. I would love to be able to make something like this.
I greatly admire your drawings, Beth. So beautiful.
I hope you're able to get some sleep soon. Insomnia is an issue I struggle with constantly, also. I know how annoying it can be. The time change has been making me sleep less, and I feel exhausted and grumpy all day. Darkness rolls around, and I'm wide awake. It's exasperating.
Here's wishing you some much needed good sleep dear Beth. Your drawings are just so beautiful, and I can see many of them as stained glass pieces. Your model is beautiful inspiration too. Happy PPF!
That's such a pretty pose and such a wonderful line drawing! So beautiful!
How fun that you always make these drawings after a life model. It's a great drawing once again. It sucks not being able to sleep well. Hope it improves soon ...
Terrific figure and design! And how cool to do a photo shoot and get just exactly what you wanted. Hope you get some sleep! :)
