Morning Glory Faery - Sunday Scans
She looks a little pensive--Winter has lasted all too long. This drawing is another of my favorites, echoing the rich colors of the Morning Glory flower.
Some of my best childhood memories are embellished with the velvety purple flowers of Morning Glories. Turned upside down, they became beautiful maidens who danced along the tops of the grape vines near my grandmother's house.
.
It was always a mystery to watch them tightly closing against the night, only to burst into gorgeous flowering in the warm morning sunshine.

Truly gorgeous colours, Beth. I wonder what it might have been like at your Grandmother's house all those years ago? Wish we could go back and see.

I love this one!
Beth I will be praying for you and your family especially your Dad. I am so sorry to hear he has taken a turn for the worse. He seemed to be doing well for so long.
We both know that all things are in Gods loving hands and all thing work for the best for those who love him. May he continue to bless all of you. Love you.
your color choices are wonderfully done! nature is full of inspiration and pensive is well expressed on her lovely face.
I've always loved her - with her rather mischievously pensive backward glance ...
Wow, I love the colours here... your painting is truly wonderful.
Heisann! This post I must link to mine of the Morning Glory!
It is so attractive if I can say so...
