Swans -Paint Party Friday

I am re-posting this piece.  I am still not feeling well.  I go back to the doctor this afternoon.  Thank you for your patience!  I will have some original artwork for you next week--hopefully!

I adore fairy tales.  Over the years I have read many stories about swan sisters, brothers--such imaginative, wondrous flights of fancy!

In this piece, there are two swans, one of which smiles at the viewer, while the other flirts outrageously with the first. Both are the lovely eyes of the swan maiden.

Above you see my beautiful model Melissa.  She has been an inspiration from the very day we met--which was just after she was born! Her Mom and I are best buds and I am grateful to this lovely young woman for her kindness and sweet heart.  She is my good friend.

Thank you for dropping by.  Thank you for your good thoughts and prayers.  I'm still under the weather a bit.  I hope to be back to normal soon.  Dear Friends, you are always a big encouragement--I look forward to your visits here!  Love, joy and peace to you, dear ones!

Amazing, sissie! If you look at the swans individually, the one on the left is looking at the other one, while the one on the R is looking at me!

This is definitely one of my favorite favorites!!!

Very, very pretty!

To answer your question, my kitty is a rescue, mostly Himalyan. She has many health issues which is why she's such a 'big' girl ;)
Having been a vet tech for 36 years I can handle all of her issues. Her name is Bliss and I adore her.

Main Coon's are wonderful cats! You shoudl consider main Coon rescue before buying one. Often times owners die and those wonderful kitties are left behind.

I understand how you still mourn Elvis. I had 3 boys who I miss dearly. I incorporate their memory into my landscapes as 3 cypress trees. It's a type of 'signature' of mine that my friends and collectors have come to know.

Your painting is quite amazing, the swans as her blue hair and then coming into view as swans, how immensely clever, and it manages to look like your model, that's astonishing.
Sorry to hear that you have been ill. Do get better soon.
Thanks for your visit to my blog, it was very nice to see you again.
