Fuchsia - Sunday Scans

If the Fuchsia flower had a face, this is what she would look like.  No wonder the hummingbirds flock to kiss her lips!  This original pocket art drawing is only 2.5x3.5 inches big!

Al's Photography Blog, by our good friend Al, hosts "Sunday Scans" each week.  Sunday Scans is a place for all things scanned.  So pick up your artwork, old photo albums, ephemera, postcards, ANYTHING which can be scanned and join in the fun!

Fuchsia

I love Fuchsias. When I first saw my dream house, they were hanging on the front porch. Alas, in the busy summer months, I often forget to water plants hanging out front--so I put up fake ones which often fool my little hummer friends.

I have been down with a bad head cold--fever, aches, stuffy nose, plugged ears--but I'm better this morning. All I've been able to do these past three days is sleep and sit--and draw. This Fuchsia girl is one of two pen and inks I started. Enjoy. When I get 'em done, they'll be quite colorful.

Moth Faery

I found a photo of the most amazing moth. It's wings were the colors you see here, as well as the antennae. Who would have thought such colors actually would exist together in nature? They do, and here is the little moth faery who tends these magnificent moths as they fly through the dusky air of night.
