Maple Tree Fairy -Paint Party Friday
I adore maple trees. They are everywhere in our little town--flooding the skies with their broad green leaves and covering the ground with refreshing shade on hot summer days. A few weeks ago, seated beneath those gently bowing giants, I was inspired to draw this lovely maple tree fairy.
The truth is, she and her friends adore twirling down on the helicopter seedlings in the Fall. However, she's on her best behavior here--all ready for a fancy fairy ball.
Above you see my wonderful reference model, Rena, who is one of my dearest friends and inspirations.
Have a great weekend, dear friends. Happy Paint Party Friday!

I love your drawing. They always reminds me of old storybooks from my childhood. Your Maple Tree Fairy if gorgeous :)
Beth your drawings are such exquisite replications of the photos-such talent. Happy PPF!
Thanks for stopping and leaving a comment on my blog-off to see your eclipse pics:)
Your illustration using Rena as a model is so beautiful. What a unique talent you have! Thanks for your sweet comments on my blog. I have finally caught up on sleep and today got the driveway drainage done. My dear nextdoor neighbor came over and spent another 3.5 hours here working on it. I couldn't begin to thank him enough. So generous with his time and energy. I have reminded the Lord that he promised to take care of the widows and orphans and he sent Jerry to help me. I hope your water problem gets taken care of in a timely manner. Handling household repairs sometimes means making decisions better made by a couple not a single, and that has been hard for me.
She is lovely Beth as is your model.
Divine illustration and beautiful model ~ thanks ^_^ Happy creating.

Your fairy is enchanting Beth, a beautiful drawing!
Again a beautiful piece of art and model. I love all the attention to detail in your drawings.
Beautiful. I love the addition of the leaves on both the model nad the picture!
I love your drawing, Beth! I admire what you did with the background. My backgrounds are usually plain because I simply don't know what to do with them. haha You've got it all figured out.
