Happy New Year! -Paint Party Friday

Happy New Year, dear Friends!  Though this is a whimsical drawing from years ago, it seemed just perfect for today.   As you can see, these swans are a bit different.  lol  As I drew them, their tail feathers became fireworks.  Each of these cuties has a personality all their own--I just want to hug 'em!

I can hardly believe an entire year has passed by. A whole year without my Beloved.  A year of tears and growth.  It has been an adventure.  I still don't know where life will lead me.  I am grateful that God directs my path.  I am leaning upon Him for each day.

Happy New Year, and Paint Party Friday, all you lovely artists and truly wonderful people.  May God bless you, dear Friends--have a lovely weekend and thank you for stopping by.  ((hugs))

This is such delightful drawing Beth,
It has simplicity, but also so much detail within.
It would make a perfect page for a fairy-tale colouring book.
Happy New Year to you... I hope it brings health, happiness and lots of creativity thrown in.
Happy 2016!

Such a beautiful drawing Beth. I love all of the details in it.

It sounds like you and I are on the same journey. My husband passed away a little over a year ago and it has been a year filled with ups and downs and definitely lots of growth. If you ever feel like talking, I am just an email away. ginny.lennox@comcast.net

The swans tails turned into fireworks! What an imagination! Thanks for sharing!

I know what you are going through emotionally, my dad passed away this year and I feel the same way. It was a sad and joyous year, my son married and I became a grandma, so the sadness was fortunately balanced with the joy.

May you find your way and peace to you!
I hope your year is filled with art, love, joy, peace and direction.

Hugs,
Renee

Love your sketch today. Those little birds seem to be happy. I am think they are with their mama, but maybe that wasn't your idea. Either way it is fun. You mentioned in your comment on my blog that your word is joy, and after reading your post I think it sounds like a wonderful choice. So I will wish you a year very very full of joy!

Fabulous drawing, Beth. I can see why you have got attached to the little swans, they all look similar yet each is different. The one bottom left is definitely having a happy time.
Happy New Year, hope it is a good one for you.
