Lovely Iris Dancer -Paint Party Friday


I adore the Iris--when I was a girl they grew everywhere.  They were velvety petaled, in rich colors of blue, gold and red.  To celebrate this lovely flower, I drew this Iris Dancer as she twirls through my garden, celebrating those long summer days with her dance.

    I love the way you use the model to create yoru art. It is amazing.

    I agree with you Iris is a fine flower. Comes in many colors. I saw one last week all white. And the largest I have seen. So beautiful.

    So pretty! Irises have been blooming for a couple weeks here in northern Illinois. My favorite is almost like a flame colored yellow and orange-brown one.
