Fairy Landscape -Paint Party Friday

I am delighted to post this Fairy Forest Landscape as a part of Paint Party Friday.  I love painting my friends as a part of the forest, since I often see such faces in nature.  This watercolor painting is of my sweet young friend Heather.

This week has been so hectic, I wasn't able to do much of anything except doodling and a bit of sketching, as you see above.

I call this graphite drawing The Huntress.  The story behind this drawing is that this girl is a keeper of the Forest, on a planet far from here.  In that place, the trees are so large, people often use them for homes.  But there are those who would misuse this great gift.  Certain ones have been called out to keep the forest pristine.  This huntress is of one of that clan.

Next week I'll paint something completely new and different to share.  Have a lovely day, everyone!

Painting your friends is wonderful and putting them into an enchanted land. Good on you. I love the witch . . .there is a story with her, right? I am a writer and sometimes I see stories in great creativity. Blessings, Janet PPF

really enchanting.

Thank you for your kind comments, JKW. The Huntress is not a witch, rather, she is a keeper of the Forest. She lives on another planet, where people can actually dwell inside living trees.

Your portrait of your friend is beautiful! I like that she is part of the surrounding nature!
I had a look at your last post with the poem of your mother, it's such a beautiful expression of the nature of a child.
I would like to thank you for the comment you made on my blog, what huge compliment you gave me!
Hope you have a beautiful day!
Happy PPF

I love your fantastical rock formation. It seems like something out of a book. (Do you write books? I'll dig a little further in your site to find out.)

Your huntress and the scene is breathtaking. I love your details and the huntress herself is lovely.

Blessing hugs,
Teresa

I love the fantasy world you are creating. I'm especially drawn to the first one, with your friend's face carved into the mountain. Blessings!

Your first is such a different and original work, both a very skilful drawing and lovely painting with the restricted colour palette. Your second pencil drawing is quite remarkable too with all the many details.
