Quiet, Please - Guest Heart Thursday

While we were at the Coast last week, a winter storm roared in our ears for two days.  It was difficult to find a way home because of downed trees, snow in the mountains and flooding!  I would have loved to have been stranded at the beach--but alas, we finally made it home.

This is the mermaid who made her appearance during those stormy days.  Clearly she wants the wind to quiet down!  Yes, there are hearts everywhere in this painting--how many can you find?

For more heart art, photography and altogether fabulous heart stuff from around the world, visit Clytie at Random Hearts for Guest Heart Thursday!

I completely agree about the Little Golden books...the new one can't hold a candle to the old ones. Everything about them was really nice.

Glad you made it home okay. We've had our share of bad weather here in Alabama recently too.

Truly breathtaking!

I love the old Golden Books. I have the first one my MIL read to my hubby when he was very little. It's Mighty Mouse and so charming~

Without a "story", is it truly art? From the walls of Lascaux, to our present time we artists all have Stories! From our palettes come the sentences, from our brushes words of love, war, courage, and betrayal. May all of your stories be written with joy!

This is lovely - I especially like her orange, twisty strands of hair. And good to hear that you made it home alright!

Beth, I am loving your mermaid & all her hidden hearts.

So glad you made it home, though I must admit I would have been liking the idea of a stranded adventure to!
