Trust

There is rarely a relationship more wonderful or filled with trust than that of a dog's unswerving love. I am grateful for all the animal friends I've had over the years. They've brought richness and beauty into my life.
.
My first dog was Gumbo. She was a darling little mutt, who had many puppies--Clytie, do you remember Fattyhat, and Fattyhat Two? (grin) Then there were Poncherella Prunella P. Ratley, Pompernickole Herman Junior and Pepi Le' Piu Flea Longstocking. Friends from long ago--beloved in my sight.

Ah yes, Fattyhat ... Remember yelling across the canyon -- "My dog's better than YOUR dog!" and hearing the Nickersons yell back the same?

By the way, I absolutely adore your picture. My favorite shades of blue!

I sing a little song about my dogs.

"His eye is on the sparrow so I know He watches Rosco dog and Spotty dog."

We get a chuckle out of it. Beautiful picture.

I love this. The dog is the only one who's always happy to see me when I walk in the door. Even if I just stepped into the garage for a minute.

What a lovely image, and perfect portrayal of this special adoration! You are so right... a dog's love is special and unconditional... one look in those sweet eyes and my heart melts. And, who else would join me in singing, running, or dancing with such joy and abandon? We presume we take care of them, but I think they indeed take care of us!
